Last Saturday we traveled to Georgia to visit Brad's family for the Thanksgiving holiday. On Monday Hudson was hit with a stomach virus. On Thursday we thought he was getting better, only to find out that Brad was now sick. Everyone woke up feeling fine this morning and then Hudson had a major relapse tonight and Brad is still not feeling great. We have been stuck in the house all week and we all have cabin fever. Poor Brad did not even get to go to his family's Thanksgiving. We are facing a 13-14 hour drive tomorrow with 2 sick people. This sounds miserable but we have to get home. My thoughts are scattered because I am one exhausted Mommy. At this point I am just trying to hold it all together and make it home before I get sick too. I am praying that we can make it home tomorrow in one piece and that I can get my poor boys well. Please send good thoughts and prayers our way...we could really use them.
Is this the worst Thanksgiving or holiday ever. I would love to hear some stories that top this (let's be honest - I could use a good laugh about now).
Hope everyone else had a very Happy Turkey Day. I am very thankful for all of my wonderful family and friends and I will be even more thankful when my two boys are feeling better.

Boo! So sorry to hear this - praying for you guys and thinking happy thoughts for your drive home!!!
Boo indeed- hope everyone is feeling better soon! I wrote a post last year about my worst Thanksgiving ever (similar circumstances)- here you go: http://bjandaj.blogspot.com/2009/11/worst-thanksgiving-ever.html
Hope it's good for a laugh!
Oh my gosh I am so sorry that Brad got sick too. I hope that everyone is well now.
So here is my story. Last Thanksgiving I hosted my parents at our house. I woke on Thanksgiving Day with 103 degree fever and did not get out of bed until that evening. My mom had to cook the whole meal and I barely got to see her, because I was so sick. Luckily I prepped most stuff the night before and it was fairly easy for her. After sleeping and sucking back advil all day I was able to get up for half an hour to eat dinner--which I then promptly threw up. So there you have it, sometimes the holidays suck. Christmas will be better! :)
Such a bummer. I can't remember a thanksgiving where I had to care for two sick family members, so in my book yours sounds pretty bad. Hope all is on the mend and that you got to enjoy a bit of the long weekend!
